An Inspirational Story

             For me, the message of the video is to incorporate in the mind of the viewer that they are still so blessed in spite of the problems they have in their life compared to what “Nick” has experienced. They should not blame God for the trials they have, instead bear in mind that they are just the way of God to make them strong.
            The video I just recently watched is so touching. As a proof of that, there are more than a million people who watched that video and commented that they are so much inspired to what “Nick” had about his condition and about life. I was so inspired in the part of the video where “Nick” stand up from being stumbled because even if “Nick” has no arms and feet, he still managed to stand up. The saying “If there’s a will, there’s a way was really proved on that act.
            I can also be an inspiration to others by doing also what “Nick” has done. To show to others that we should always try our best to stand up every time we stumble. We should always be strong and firm in facing problems and always have faith in God.

DISCIPLINE

           “ Training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior, especially training that produces moral or mental improvement.”

My High School Life

High school life is the most enjoyable part of my life. In this stage, I learn to make and value my friends. In this stage also, I share the ups and downs with my closest friends which I haven’t done during my elementary years.

                During my first year in high school, I am so shy and afraid to mingle with other students. I always isolate myself to the rest of the class. But gradually, as the day passed by, I learn to boost my self-confidence and to interact with my fellow classmates. In this stage, I prove to myself the saying, “No man is an island”. When I enter the second year of my high school, I am well acquainted with my classmates. And on this period, I experience to join different clubs in our school. I am also exposed in performing on stage and dancing or singing in front of a huge crowd. When I enter the gates of my junior years, we are bombarded with different projects excluding the presentations we must prepare in every program held in our school. During this stage, we learn the importance of the word “teamwork”.  We usually help each other in doing our obligations. And finally, when we enter our final year in high school, we start to realize that time passed so fast that we don’t realize that soon we are going to depart to our school and specially with each other. During this period we precious every day we spent. We make sure that we have good experiences that we can reminisce when we left our Alma mater.

                There are many other experiences that we have that are too many to put into words. What I have right now is the good memories of the past. And now, as we enter the portals of college life, may God guides us so that we can be a successful person someday.   

My Hero

                A hero is someone who contributes something big in your life. He/she is there when you are in great need. You can lean on him/her when you are depressed and full of problems.

                For me, the person that is considered to be my hero is my parents. In the first place, they are the ones who made me. I am not here in this world if not because of them. During my childhood, I am an asthmatic child. I am always admitted to the hospital because of that. And the one that sacrifices most just to take care of me is my parents. They have spent their time searching for a compatible medicine for me. And when I am years old, thanks to God, my asthma is cured. Now that I am a college student, I want to repay their goodness by getting high grades in college, finish my desired course, and get a good job. I think this is the best gift that a son could to their parents - seeing their son to graduate.

                With all my heart, I am proud to say, that my parents are my hero and no one in this world can replace them.

Ghosts

           “Are ghosts real?”  This question troubled the mind of man millions of years ago. Leading paranormal experts, science professionals, and even individuals in the general public that have an interest in the paranormal have attempted to answer this question, “Are ghosts real?”
            People all over the world have different ideas and opinion of what really a ghost is. Some people believe that ghosts are the spirits or soul of the dead. Some believe that it is only a product of the wild imagination of our mind. And some believe that a ghost is actually the visual based presence of a deceased human.
            There are also many opinions why ghosts remain in the physical world. Many believe that the spirit may return in order to assist a specific individual that is living through the means of advice, warnings, or even to comfort that person. Others say that ghost may return to the physical plane because of the fact that they may have a particular attachment to an individual, item, or even a general location. And still others say that it is common for a spirit to return if they are not consciously aware of the fact that they have experienced a physical death.
            When asking people the question, “Are ghosts real?” you will promptly receive a “yes” in response. The legends of ghosts are powerful and the evidence that supports the existence of ghosts is even more powerful. It is important to understand that, behind every legend in existence today regarding ghosts, there is a truth.

"I Stop To Say Thank You Mama and Papa"

In our everyday life, one of the most abused words we usually hear is the words “thank you”.  We say those words when someone gave you something. But do we say those words with deep sincerity or we just say those words because we are taught to say those words as an act of politeness?

In my own experience, I usually say “thank you” to someone who does something good to me. But, honestly, I say those words only to show only politeness.  And I usually do this to my parents. When they do something or give something to me, I say thank you without sincerity. And now, I realized that I am saying thank you through my mouth but not with my heart. I am very ashamed of myself for doing so. My parents give their best to give me my necessities, but I, as a son, can’t just say thank you sincerely.

But it’s not too late. I can still change my attitude right now. To change these bad attitudes, I must have the will in my heart to change this attitude. Without this will, I am only a “ningas kugon”, who only have a burning interest at first, but in the end his interest dies. And finally, I must trust in God, the most powerful above all. With Him at my side, I can face all the challenges and trials in my life.   

Reading and Writing

          Two of the three vital and interconnected tools that we have are reading and writing. These two are needed to achieve academic success. Through reading, we can gain much knowledge. It is also through reading that we can improve and widen our vocabulary. On the other hand, writing is the sharing of ideas, knowledge, and feelings. And the secret to be a good writer is reading. So we can say that reading and writing are cannot be separated.
          At present, I cannot consider myself as a good writer but I can say that I am a good reader. I really find pleasure and enjoyment when I read but I find writing as a burden. I really suck in writing. I find pleasure in reading because every time I acquired new knowledge, I am amazed. It is also an advantage if you read a lot because you are always informed unlike those who do not like to read. I am also confident in a test where I am not prepared and not studied because even though I did not memorize the entire text, I was able to familiarize the text through reading and have an answer. But if you'll ask me to write, I really find it difficult. I cannot maintain the constant flow of ideas in my mind. Even though I have an idea in my mind, I find it difficult to express in writing. But I am not losing hope. I always practice writing. I write, write, and write. And I am sure that one day I will be able to write skillfully and beautifully.
          The sayings "Practice makes perfect" and "Try and try until you succeed" are my inspirations in improving my writing and reading skills. Even though I consider myself as a good reader, I am not contented to that. I want to be better and hopefully the best reader through constant practice. The same goes in my writing skills. I am always practicing so that I will be a good and will be better and soon to be the best writer I can be.

My Mission In Life

         
             Every human being that lives on this world has a mission in life. Our mission is a goal or aim that we want to achieve in any way that we can. This mission is the compass that gives direction and meaning in our day to day life. If we don’t have any mission, we are like a dead person who has no purpose on this world or like riding in a ship without any destination. So that means if we don't have a mission, we have no reason to pursue life. Thus, we can say that our mission is a very important part of our lives.
            If you asked me what my mission in life is, I would say that I have many missions and one of these is to finish my course with honors and to have a stable and legal job. And I think it's also everyone else's mission. Of course, who would like to have a mission, that is, to fail all his subjects and ending up as a "balut" vendor? As the eldest child in the family, I have also the mission to help my younger brother and sister so that they, too, will be able to finish their studies. As a son of my parents, my mission is to repay them back, not financially but repaying them by being serious in my studies and to finish my desired course which is the greatest treasure they could ever give to me. And as a scholar of our government, my mission is to use this given opportunity to the fullest and to show them that I am worthy of the said scholarship by having good grades.
            But can I really achieved or accomplished those long term goals? I am very sure that it would be very tough and difficult for me to achieve those missions. And I cannot also set aside the temptations that hinder me to pursue those missions. There are some people, like our so called "barkadas", lure us and make us do foolish things which in the end brings failure in our life. But if there are people who tempt us to do bad things, there are also those who mold and help us in achieving our missions. They are our parents, teachers, and good friends. They are always there to guide and support us in our endeavors and offers unending help when we badly need it. So what I am going to do is to study hard and show to the people the best that I have. And also, there is God who is always there to help me and I know that there is no impossible for him. What I need to do is to pray intently to him so that all my missions and endeavors in life will be fulfilled. And to summarize this all, what I need to do is to believe in myself that I can really do it all and doing something to accomplish it.
